I am looking for one million couples to participate in this grassroots effort. My mission, the C4 Mission, is to change the course of our country, one couple at a time.

When Lewis and I separated, I thought our marriage was over. I thought there was no hope. I was tired of fighting for the relationship, tired of him not spending time with me and our girls, and tired of not seeing him change. For years, I tried to fix it (him). For years, I prayed for change. Year by year, I kept getting increasingly frustrated because he wasn’t changing (reality: I wasn’t, either). Although my situation seemed hopeless, my faith gave me hope. Although I didn’t and couldn’t see how we could have a great marriage, I believed that we could. Now that Lewis and I are back together and our marriage is stronger than ever, we are on a mission to change the rising divorce statistics. Did you know that 50% of marriages end in divorce, and the percentage is increasing—especially within the Church?

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, involves the recovery of stolen valuables (intimacy, love, and peace) within your marriage. The Bible states that the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Sometimes, he may be disguised as your wife or husband, but your spouse is not the thief. The real thief is operating behind your spouse and influencing him (or her). The thief is subtle, yet highly destructive. I would like to recruit you and others to be a part of the IMF (Improving Marriages by Faith) Team. As a part of the IMF Team, you will take a pledge to stand for (and stay committed to) your marriage with me and many others and beat the thief at his game. As a member of the IMF Team, we must recover those valuables in order to have successful marriages.

Marriage 101 is a message of faith, hope, and love. This book/workbook combination offers an 8-week plan for individual or group study and was released February 2009 by Revell/Baker Publishing.

Each couple that accepts this mission will receive:
